Valentine’s Day Cookie Cake

Are you on the hunt for the most delicious Valentine’s Day dessert? Cookie cakes are easy, delicious and versatile. This mouthwatering dessert can be used for every holiday by simply changing out the m&m color, buttercream and pan shape. Want another reason to make it? It is super easy, bakes in minutes and the best part…you can use any cookie recipe you’d like (chocolate chip, peanut butter, sugar cookie) the list goes on. Below is my go to chocolate cookie recipe and I’ve also linked my creamy vanilla buttercream recipe. I hope you enjoy this super sweet cake.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Heart shape cookie pan
  2. Buttercream
  3. Valentine’s Day m&m’s
  4. Valentine’s sprinkles
  5. Piping tips 1M, 32, 4B
  6. Chefmaster super red
  7. Chefmaster bright neon pink
  8. Piping bags

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups valentine’s day m&m’s

Recipe:

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl or KitchenAid, beat sugar, butter, brown sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy and bright.

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each egg.

Gradually add in flour mixture, a little at a time until fully incorporated.

Add m&m’s and stir with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula until fully incorporated.

Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, add chocolate chip cookie mix to a well greased heart cookie pan.

Spread evenly with a rubber spatula.

Bake at 325 degrees for approx. 15 minutes.

(Now would be a good time to whip up your buttercream)

Divide buttercream into separate bowls, color using Chefmaster super red and bright neon pink. Leave one bowl white.

Remove cookie cake from oven and let cool.

(Once cooled you may flip onto a plate or leave in pan for serving)

Fit three piping bags with piping tips 1M, 32 & 4B

Add red, pink and white buttercream to each piping bag.

Pipe buttercream border around cookie cake.

Using a small spoon, add Valentine’s day sprinkles to cake.

Cut and enjoy!
